How to Upgrade Windows 10 Home to Pro

Firstly ensure your virus software is temporally disabled during the upgrade process.
Now download and install any Windows 10 updates before preceding.

Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise Using an Existing Product Key

Once you have your Windows 10 key ready select System.

Settings

Select About then Change product key or upgrade your edition of Windows.

About

Click Yes if User Account Control comes up.

UAC

Enter your product key for the edition you are upgrading to, whether it is Pro or Enterprise. Then wait while the product key verified.

Enter password

Make sure all open applications are closed and your work is saved then start the upgrade. Wait while the upgrade process kicks off. Your computer will be restarted several times throughout this process.

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation step.
